LOCAL IP COUNSEL IN TURKEY For individuals, businesses and foreign associates
YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Notice

How information submitted through IP in Turkey is used.

Data controller and contact

The data controller for enquiries submitted through IP in Turkey is Anlam Patent Ofisi, operating as Anlam Patent Office. IP in Turkey is its international service website. Address: Site Mahallesi, Atay Caddesi No:7, New Loca Istanbul, D:74, 34760 Ümraniye, Istanbul, Turkey. Email: info@ipinturkey.com. Office hours: 08:30–18:00, Istanbul time (UTC+3).

Information collected and how it is obtained

All enquiry fields are optional. We receive the name, company, email address, WhatsApp number, service selection, applicant capacity and message you choose to send. An indicative date and reference are included if you transfer them from a calculator. Without contact details we cannot send you a reply. Please avoid confidential technical disclosures or case documents in an initial web enquiry.

When you submit a form, its service context, page address and technical delivery information, including IP address and browser information, may be recorded in our enquiry system at crm.anlampatent.com. The office uses these records to handle the request, keep a correspondence history and check delivery or security issues. Optional visit tracking is separate from processing your form.

Purposes and legal bases

We process information necessary to review and answer an enquiry or prepare an instructed service under Article 5(2)(c) of Turkish Law No. 6698, where directly related to establishing or performing a contract. Relevant records may also be processed to meet a legal obligation under Article 5(2)(ç), or establish, exercise or protect a right under Article 5(2)(e). Proportionate operational and security records may be processed under Article 5(2)(f), subject to the protection of your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Optional analytics is based on your separate choice under Article 5(1). Sending an enquiry does not grant analytics or marketing consent. You can use the form, email and WhatsApp contact links while analytics is disabled. Submission alone does not appoint us as your professional representative.

Recipients and transfers

Authorised office personnel and service providers supporting hosting, enquiry management and communications may process the records needed to operate the service. If you instruct an IP matter, relevant information may be shared with TÜRKPATENT or other authorities and professional providers as necessary for that instruction. Disclosures required by law or to protect legal rights may also be made.

If you enable analytics, visit and interaction information is processed through Google Analytics and the office’s CRM tracking service. Google and external communication providers may process information outside Turkey. Overseas transfers must comply with the applicable conditions of Article 9 of Law No. 6698; an analytics preference is not a blanket authorisation for every international transfer. External links to WhatsApp, Google Maps and TÜRKPATENT open services with their own privacy notices.

Analytics and browser storage

Google Analytics and CRM visit tracking stay disabled until you choose “Allow analytics”. “Essential only” keeps them disabled. Analytics can record visited pages, referral or campaign information, browser/device data, contact-link interactions and a successful form event. Contact details and message text are not sent by this website as Google Analytics event parameters.

Your privacy preference is stored locally for up to 180 days so the site can remember it. With analytics enabled, Google Analytics first-party cookies are configured with a 180-day expiry. CRM tracking uses local storage for a visitor identifier, visit history and attribution, and session storage for session information; those entries otherwise have no built-in expiry. Choosing “Essential only” clears these analytics entries and accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies on this site. Copies already processed by service providers are not erased by changing a browser preference.

The website serves its font files locally; displaying the typography does not require a request to Google Fonts. Form delivery and hosting may create necessary server records regardless of analytics preferences.

Retention

Enquiry and instructed-matter records are retained for the period needed to respond, provide the agreed service, meet applicable record obligations or establish and defend legal rights. The relevant duration depends on the record and procedure. Data no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted, destroyed or anonymised. You can ask the office about the retention applicable to your record. Analytics retention in the service provider’s systems is governed by the configured service settings and applicable obligations.

Your rights and how to apply

Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you may ask whether your personal data is processed; request information about processing, its purpose and use; learn the domestic or overseas recipients; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; and request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met. You may also request notification of relevant corrections or deletion to recipients, object to a detrimental result arising exclusively from automated analysis, and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send a request identifying the relevant enquiry and the right you wish to exercise to our postal address above, or contact info@ipinturkey.com for the appropriate application channel and identity verification. An email already registered with the office may be used in accordance with the applicable application rules. We handle valid requests within the statutory period, ordinarily no later than 30 days. Identity checks should be proportionate; please do not send identity documents in an initial public form.

You can withdraw optional analytics consent at any time through “Privacy preferences” in the footer. Withdrawal affects future analytics processing and does not invalidate processing already lawfully carried out.

Optional country welcome message

If you allow optional analytics, your browser may contact ipapi.co to estimate your country from your IP address for an English welcome message. The provider receives the network IP address; we request only the country code and do not send your enquiry details. If you decline, a general welcome is shown without contacting this provider. A session-only flag prevents the welcome repeating within the same tab session. Country estimates may be inaccurate, including when using a VPN.
